Sunshine School

Vashi, Navi Mumbai

Mrs Paramita Mazumdar who has been the principal of this school since its inception, has a son with autism (presently 20 year old) and this was one of the driving factors, for her to take this initiative of being part of starting the Sunshine School. The school was started so that differently abled children, who are unable to fit in mainstream schools can be provided with appropriate curricular and extra-curricular training. It was started on a small scale initially with just 6 students including Mrs.Paramita Mazumdars son, and today it has bloomed and grown to cater to 80 plus students ranging from age 3 years to 17 years.
