Navachetana Foundation (NCF) is a pioneering non-profit organisation registered under the Karnataka State Societies Registration Act. Established in 1999 and headquartered in Haveri, Karnataka, NCF was founded by a group of passionate young entrepreneurs committed to driving economic development and improving livelihoods for women in Haveri and neighbouring villages.
Initially, NCF focused on promoting sustainable natural resource management through watershed development and tank rehabilitation projects in rural areas. These initiatives aimed to enhance community-owned resources and involved active participation from local communities. In 2005, NCF expanded its scope to address the financial needs of women who lacked access to credit from mainstream commercial banks. In April 2006, NCF disbursed its first loan, marking the beginning of its microfinance operations. Navachetana Microfin Services Private Limited (NMSPL) was established in May 2009 to streamline these operations.
Since its inception, NCF and NMSPL have made a significant impact, with over 70,000 women benefiting from our services and achieving a remarkable 100% repayment rate. We are dedicated to empowering women by providing them with financial support and fostering entrepreneurship.
