Gujarat JHM Hotels has a career opportunity for Senior Accountant. Ideal candidates will have: Education:- - Minimum education B.Com - A Masters degree in Accounting/Commerce preferred, but not required. - Experience - Candidate from the hotel industry with 3-5 years of experience will be preferred. - Core Competencies - The job requires good understanding of accounting standards. - Preparation of monthly financial statements. - Preparation of month-end and year-end closing entries. - Posting of activity to the general ledger, including monthly accruals. - Account analysis and reconciliation, to include bank statements, inter-company general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts. - Monitoring and maintenance of recording and reporting fixed assets and related depreciation. - Assist in training of new department members and hotel accountants. - Work directly with the Corporate Office, Hotel General Managers and Operations Management. - Take initiative to identify areas and provide suggestions for improvement. - Research and resolve technical accounting and system issues. - Organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines, and good interpersonal skills. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with PMS. - Must have analytical ability, a methodical approach and problem solving skills. - Additional duties as developed, directed, or assigned. - Salary & Growth Opportunities - Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications/experience.
