Job Title_ Wordpress Developer

Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites and applications

- Customise WordPress themes and create custom themes from scratch

- Extend and customise WooCommerce for custom e-commerce functionalities

- Create and modify custom post types and taxonomies

- Build reusable blocks and components using Gutenberg

- Collaborate with design and content teams to create high-quality user experiences

- Implement responsible web design principles to ensure websites are optimised across various devices

- Optimise websites for speed, SEO, and performance

- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

- Write clean, readable, and well-documented code, following best practices

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred

- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development

- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

- Experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or others

- Proficient understanding of RESTful APIs, caching mechanisms, and JSON

- In-depth understanding of WooCommerce, including custom theme development, creating custom plugins, and API integrations

- Knowledge of SEO best practices

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organisational skills

Desired Skills:

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git

- Advanced WooCommerce skills, like custom payment gateway integration, custom checkout process, and complex product setups
