As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met to provide a safe and pleasant dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Management: Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies, including groceries, cleaning products, and equipment. Report any shortages or damages to the supervisor.
Assist Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen team as needed, including food preparation, chopping vegetables, and simple cooking tasks under the guidance of the Chef.
Health and Safety: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Guest Interaction: Be courteous and helpful to guests when in their presence, and respond to their requests promptly and professionally.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar role is a plus.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
