Responsibilities:
ï‚· Study design briefs and determine requirements
ï‚· Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
ï‚· Understand GD&T and apply it during the programming process.
ï‚· Design, develop and engineer high-quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools ï‚· Use of CAM programming on multi-axis mill-turn machines.
ï‚· Determine optimal tooling and cutting parameters based on material and setup.
ï‚· Understand and implement work holding for manufacturing processes.
ï‚· Plan and execute manufacturing processes individually or as a team
ï‚· Use of CAD to create part models and geometry as needed.
ï‚· Create documentation for assembly drawings, Bill of Materials etc.
ï‚· Develop a standard library of commonly used CAD parts that can be built into a digital toolbox.
ï‚· Maintain revision and quality control on programs, tool sheets, and setup documentation
Skills/personal qualities:
ï‚· Machining knowledge and strong CAM and/or G-CODE programming fundamentals
ï‚· Ability to ask the right questions efficiently to gain the correct understanding of the assignment.
ï‚· Training and associated certifications or a degree in CAD/CAM would be preferred
ï‚· Spatial imagination and methodical understanding
ï‚· Hands-on expertise in using various designing software and technologies such as FreeCAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro E, Catia, Solid Edge, MasterCAM, DelCAM, CAMWorks, SolidCAM, MS office etc. and flexibility to adopt and learn new tools and technologies
ï‚· Good Knowledge of Die Mould, Tool Room, Materials and various manufacturing processes, Sheet Metal Production Machining Processes, Machine Tools and Cutting Tools is preferred.
ï‚· Work individually or as a team on continuous improvement efforts.
ï‚· Great attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure
ï‚· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
ï‚· Candidate must pass all background checks, educational verification and drug testing.
