Competition & Currency is a video production company that helps businesses improve their marketing and communications with video. We are currently looking for a video editor with a knack for storytelling and sophisticated editing skills to join our team to help us with overflow editing and post -production work on a project-by-project basis.

Location - Fully Remote/Off-site

Video Style – Cinematic, Street and Hip-Hop.

Your Role:

• Collaborating with the Senior Video Producer to understand the purpose and objectives of the video piece.

• Reviewing the script to ensure that the story is being told in the most effective way for the style of video they are editing.

• Editing or rearranging the script in partnership with the stakeholder.

• Excellent editing skills with an eye of good storytelling.

• Understanding of how brand guidelines translate to video and ensuring that the guidelines are followed.

• Reviewing existing video concepts to see how topics were approached and edited in past.

• Working independently with input from the Sr. Producer once you are onboarded and advised on project specifications.

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a Video Editor or similar title.

• Exceptional storytelling skills - you know how to consult with a client to achieve the best result.

• Proven ability to follow brand guidelines accurately.

• You need to have a strong Internet Connection.
