Vendor managers facilitate and maintain vendor relationships between businesses and
suppliers, negotiating contracts, creating vendor standards, and finding the best available
vendor.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supplier market.
● Set up the National & International Purchase process as a function by establishing
departmental policies.
● Research vendors to find the best products/Services and prices available within a given
market.
● Establishing efficient vendor management policies which include vendor audits, vendor
selection, and vendor management.
● Monitor and report on the performance of selected vendors to ensure delivery in line
with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
● Manage the interaction between vendors and internal program delivery leaders to
provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs.
● Hands on experience on buying electronics components.
● Excellent negotiation skills with a strong focus on cost-effectiveness
● Float inquiry and get the quotations and negotiate with the supplier.
● Ensure quality material is acquired at competitive prices on time.
● Nurture the relationship with suppliers and clients to negotiate the best prices.
● Make the comparison of quotes in respect of price, availability and Payment terms for
all available suppliers
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly
● Ability to proactively identify and solve issues using strong analytical and strong
decision-making skills
● Ability to work under pressure and achieve desired results under tight deadlines
● Cost Control & MIS Report
● Preparation of monthly reports and daily dashboard.
● Willingness to travel (Domestic & International)
