The Utility Worker fulfills various aspects of maintenance operations. Under supervision, perform unskilled and semi-skilled work consisting of repair, cleaning, operation, modification, inspection, replacement, and maintenance of structures and related utility equipment; perform protective coating of equipment and civil structures such as water and chemical supply lines, safety barriers and pumps; monitor and maintain pipe and valve vault installations. Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks such as carpentry, assist with electrical conduit and structures, welding, plumbing, painting, masonry, concrete placements, and finishing; operate, service, and make adjustments to light, medium and heavy equipment, such as trucks, loaders, skid steers, cranes, boats, and other equipment.
