Unreal Developer (AR & XR Applications Developer)

we’re looking for an unreal developer responsible for building ar & xr applications. you will be involved in the design, development and deployment of various projects built on c++ in unreal game engine. ultimately, you should be able to build new concepts ar/xr space with unreal.

the ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering, with experience in c++ programming and unreal engine.

in this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers, designers, and artists to develop high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly applications. you will be comfortable in exploring new methods to achieve desired outputs.

responsibilities

• design and implement new features and functionality for unreal-based ar, vr, and metaverse applications for the web, pc, mobile, and various xr headsets

• collaborate effectively and work with other developers to devise customized solutions to difficult problems, and be an integral part of a team focused on excellence

• write clean, maintainable, secure code in c++

• continuously improve code quality through peer code reviews, unit testing, and other best practices

• work closely with a team of engineers, designers, and artists to develop high-quality applications

• take ownership of bigger, technically or creatively complex components of a large project from beginning to end

qualifications required

• engineering degree in game development, computer science, engineering, or a related degree (and/or a strong portfolio of relevant projects as a substitute to a formal degree) – preferred

• 3-5 years of experience in unreal game engine

• knowledge of c++

• experience in developing ios mobile applications with unreal game, ar/vr work experience, and developed applications in on one or more devices such as htc vive, hololens, android/ios mobile devices, oculus rift, and oculus quest and coded with a variety of ar/vr and tracking sdks such as arkit, arcore, steam vr, oculus sdk etc.
