Job Purpose:
As a UI/UX Designer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance user satisfaction and overall product usability. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging user experiences and expertise in user research, information architecture, and visual design will contribute to the development of exceptional digital experiences within our STEM programs.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the project management team, developers, and educators to understand program requirements and translate them into user interface designs.
2. Conduct user research, analyze user feedback, and gather insights to inform the design process and ensure user-centric experiences.
3. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize and communicate design concepts, interactions, and workflows.
4. Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that align with the program objectives, incorporating principles of usability, accessibility, and responsiveness.
5. Create style guides, design systems, and UI components to ensure consistency and maintain brand identity across all digital platforms and applications.
6. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and provide guidance throughout the development process.
7. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback on designs, iterate based on user insights, and continuously improve the user experience.
8. Stay updated on the latest design trends, techniques, and best practices, and make recommendations for design enhancements and improvements.
9. Collaborate with external partners, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to integrate their designs and ensure a cohesive user experience.
