Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of transport drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and delivery requirements.
Plan and assign routes for transport vehicles based on customer orders, delivery locations, and traffic conditions.
Monitor the performance of drivers, including adherence to safety regulations, driving habits, and delivery accuracy.
Conduct regular inspections of transport vehicles to ensure they are properly maintained and comply with safety standards.
Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other team members to prioritize deliveries and resolve any issues or delays.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing transportation operations.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and driver logs.
Provide training and guidance to drivers on safety procedures, vehicle operation, and customer service standards.
Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide updates on delivery status.
Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Requirements:
Previous experience in transportation supervision or a related field is required.
Knowledge of transportation regulations, route planning, and vehicle maintenance practices.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members.
Proficiency in computer applications and transportation management software.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
