Job Summary

Atithya Clothing Company, A unit of Ramraj Cotton, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the efficient movement of goods and passenger vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. This role is critical in managing transportation operations, handling logistical challenges, and supporting back-office tasks such as claims processing and transport management.

Requirements

* A degree or diploma in Auto or Mechanical Engineering.

* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Transportation Incharge in a similar industry.

* In-depth knowledge of vehicle components, replacement parts, automotive parts, and the auto ancillary sector.

* Proficiency in back-office operations related to claims processing and transport management.

* A good level of computer literacy with familiarity in transport management software and tools.

Responsibilities

* Manage and oversee all transportation operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods and passengers.

* Coordinate the efficient movement of vehicles and shipments

* Maintain and optimize vehicle performance, monitoring their components and replacement parts.

* Collaborate with suppliers and vendors in the auto ancillary sector to ensure timely procurement of necessary vehicle parts.

* Handle back-office tasks including claims processing and transport management systems.

* Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to minimize risks and maintain quality standards.

* Analyze data and trends to improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

* Prepare reports and presentations to communicate transportation metrics and performance to management.
