• To edit information and to generate reports for physician to review.
• Prepares for examinations by checking equipment and inventorying and restocking supplies; reviewing patient schedules; reading physician orders for specific examinations; setting-up recording equipment; entering patient information into system.
• Reduces patient anxieties by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing assistance to examination table or treadmill.
• To set up patient room and maintain stock area for procedures including linens, electrodes, cassette tapes, crash cart and order supplies as necessary.
• Obtains quality images by positioning and repositioning transducer; monitoring display screen; listening to signals; adjusting equipment for beam strength and focus; detecting artifacts that mimic abnormalities; recording images.
• Prepares patients by positioning patient; spreading gels; attaching electrodes to chest and equipment; adjusting equipment controls; verifying wave signals.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• To perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment and restocks supplies
• To maintain accurate logs of patient information regarding electrocardiograph readings, Holter requests, Cardiac studies and assist in maintaining patient files.
• Preparing of template as per the format prescribed by the doctors for Echo.
• Responding to telephone enquiries relating to patients, lab requests, x-rays, prescription
requests etc.
• Co-ordinating appointments for specialist referrals, x-rays lab testing, etc. and conveying
pertinent instructions and information to the patient.
• Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned.
