About the Organization

The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) is one of the oldest and largest NGOs in India transforming the lives of people affected by Leprosy since 1874. We work with individuals and communities disadvantaged by leprosy, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, by addressing their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs to uphold human dignity and eradicate leprosy with 14 hospitals and other facilities spread out in the ten states in India.

Requirement

We are looking for dedicated and energetic tele fundraising people, to be a part of Resource Mobilization team. The job would be to interact with the potential individuals to seek their support in achieving the TLMTIs projects goals.

Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties

As representative of TLMTI, you will raise monetary support for TLMTI by approaching people through Tele Conversation.

You will learn about the work of TLMTI, our beneficiaries and their life changing stories

You will be responsible for enrolling donors, as per the given target on monthly basis, through calling.

You will work in a team and help your colleagues to achieve results.

As a representative of TLMTI, you will need to show commitment and need to follow the rules

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Young & dynamic go-getters who like interacting with new people every day.

Candidate must possess excellent communication skills in English and Tamil and Kannada

Candidate must have the capacity to engage people in interesting conversations during Tele conversation

Candidate must be interested in fundraising .

The work environment is fast paced and suitable for people who are ambitious and hardworking.

About The Leprosy Mission Trust India

Leprosy, also called Hansens disease, is a chronic (chronic diseases often cause long-term physical and social effects), mildly contagious bacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae, a slow-multiplying bacterium. Dr Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen of Norway identified the bacterium that causes leprosy, way back in 1873. Most commonly, the disease affects the skin, peripheral nerves, lining of the nose, mucosa of the upper respiratory tract, small bones and the eyes. As the bacteria causing leprosy multiply slowly, leprosy has a relatively long incubation period (the time between infection and appearance of the first symptom) of five to 10 years. Symptoms may not appear for as long as 20 years. Leprosy can affect people of any age or sex, including children; but it is not hereditary.
