Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Answering Healthcare Inquiries: Handle incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals seeking information and assistance.
2. Medical Information: Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding healthcare services, medical conditions, treatment options, and facility locations.
3. Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients in scheduling medical appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits.
4. Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information, eligibility, and coverage for medical services.
5. Patient Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and caregivers, especially during stressful or sensitive situations.
6. Medical Records Access: Facilitate access to medical records, test results, and documentation as needed, while ensuring patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
7. Complaint Resolution: Address patient complaints, concerns, and feedback professionally and effectively, escalating issues as necessary.
8. Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls with patients to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedback on their healthcare experience.
9. Electronic Health Record (EHR) Usage: Utilize electronic health record systems to access patient information and update records as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Healthcare-related certification or degree is a plus.
2. Minimum 1 years experience required.
3. Ready to work at night shift.
4. Prior experience in healthcare call centres, patient services, or a related field will be preferred.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes will be preferred.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic demeanour.
7. Active listening skills to understand and address patient and caregiver concerns.
8. Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy.
