The Technical Writer creates technical documentation and information about health care software products, services, and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Researches, writes, gathers, organizes, and edits content that can be repurposed for use as product technical documents, training materials, guides, proposals, and reports.
Provides technical edits to engineering documentation, software documentation, manuals, reports, or any other documents or presentations
Works with other members of the department to plan and schedule projects and with other department staff to ensure consistent and accurate information.
Utilizes strong writing, editing, and communication skills to analyze and present complex information in a format that is easy to read and understand
May participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
Gathers user feedback and enhances usability of software by choosing the content and media most appropriate to the respective user audience.
Produces content that conforms to established guidelines and best practices.
Proofreads and copyedits content for proper use of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
Tests content for accuracy and usability.
Assists in improving and documenting departmental processes and style guide.
Maintains a knowledge base of accurate and approved content.
Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in English, Technical Writing, Communication, Journalism, or related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in the field or in a related area.
A minimum of one year of experience producing online help systems or other web-based content preferred.
Experience or education in information systems, business processes, and/or software development preferred
Working knowledge and understanding of Agile development.
