Technical Consultant - Java

The person would be responsible for understanding requirements and designing, developing, testing and supporting customer specific solutions developed on top of a Java based open source ERP.

Experience: 3 to 6 yrs as Java developer

Required Capabilities

1. Expert level skills in developing web applications in Java - skills around servlet technologies, hibernate and integrating with RDBMS ( using queries, triggers, stored procedures)

2. Thorough understanding of source control ( git/mercurial ) , build tools ( ant, maven ) , scripting for deployment

3. Good problem solving skills in investigating and resolving issues in application.

4. Always conforms to general development standards

5. Able to design solutions/understand design , prepare estimate

6. Meets delivery commitment

7. Quick learner on new framework

Other desired capabilities

1. Intermediate level skills in JavaScript (familiarity with some of the JS frameworks, Ajax calls)

2. Comfortable working in linux environment

3. Able to mentor junior team members

4. Able to interact with customer on requirements/issue resolution

5. Understanding of the Openbravo Framework

Key responsibilities:

1. Design, estimate, develop and deploy assigned work requirements.

2. Work as a team member in a project team and engage with other functional and technical team members and customer representatives as appropriate to meet team goals.

3. Analyze and solve problems in deployment, test and production environments.
