Tailor Designer

We are seeking a skilled Female Tailor to join our luxury fashion brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for creating custom-made clothing, alterations, and repairs to ensure that our clients receive high-quality, well-fitting garments.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpreting and analyzing clients' requests, taking accurate measurements and drafting patterns

Cutting fabrics according to patterns and designs, and sewing garments with precision

Performing alterations and repairs on existing garments, ensuring a perfect fit for each client

Communicating with clients and offering style advice, recommending alterations and adjustments when needed

Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and used safely

Collaborating with other members of the design and production team to ensure timely delivery of finished products

Staying up-to-date with industry trends, techniques and technologies in tailoring, and applying them to improve skills and techniques

Providing excellent customer service and building lasting relationships with clients

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year experience in tailoring, preferably in a luxury fashion brand

A keen eye for detail and a passion for fashion and craftsmanship

Proficiency in using tailoring equipment such as sewing machines, scissors, and measuring tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Good time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction techniques

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Education:

High school

Formal training or certification in tailoring or fashion design preferred

Work Environment:

Work will take place in a well-lit, temperature-controlled environment

Some weekend and evening work may be required during busy seasons.
