5. Code Compliance

Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.

Stay updated on relevant codes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Project Management

Manage project timelines and budgets related to structural engineering aspects.

Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors during construction.

7. Problem-Solving

Identify and address design or construction issues as they arise.

Propose alternative solutions that meet safety and budgetary constraints.

8. Documentation

Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for construction.

Maintain accurate records of calculations, designs, and project communications.

9. Risk Assessment

Evaluate potential risks associated with structural designs and construction methods.

Implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance safety.

10. Research and Development

Stay informed about new technologies, materials, and methods in structural engineering.

Conduct research to improve design practices and construction techniques.

11. Client Consultation
