Job Description

Ensures that all inventory and stock management systems are maintained and updated accurately, and within the agreed parameters.

Receives delivered materials, confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc., completes all necessary paperwork for stock items received.

Track, record and resolve any discrepancies on received orders.

Manages all stock movements in and out, and maintain complete log of all stock movement to ensure stocks are tallied with the transfer documents.

Maintains the storeroom and the allocation of space for stoc; ensures the storeroom meets defined regulations.

Supervises the implementation of health and safety procedures.

Process incoming requisitions and issue the requested items/materials to the requestor.

Ensure the quantity requested and the quality issued always matches.

Ensure store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the materials.

Performing physical inventory counts to ensure that all materials are accounted for at the end of each accounting period.

Identify and report any slow-moving items to avoid over purchasing.

Maintain a neat, clean and safe working environment as per government regulation.

Organizes and maintains storage and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling, including labeling/tagging, stocking and organizing stock items on shelving.
