Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory using manual or computerized systems.
Conduct periodic stock audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Store Operations:
Develop and implement procedures for efficient store operations.
Ensure proper storage and handling of goods to prevent damage or deterioration.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the store premises.
Manage store layout to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
Staff Supervision:
Lead, train, and supervise store personnel.
Delegate responsibilities and monitor performance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Resolve staff grievances and provide guidance to improve efficiency.
Procurement Coordination:
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Verify incoming stock against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and submit regular reports on stock status, discrepancies, and damaged goods.
Maintain records of receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations.
Address and rectify issues related to safety, theft, or losses.
