Job Description

1. Oversee the management of medical supplies, equipment, and consumables in the hospital's inventory.

2. Ensure accurate stock levels and reorder supplies in a timely manner to avoid shortages.

3. Perform regular stock audits and reconciliation to prevent discrepancies and losses.

4. Liaise with the procurement department to ensure that all hospital supplies are ordered in accordance with hospital requirements and budget constraints.

5. Maintain a list of preferred vendors and ensure the quality and timely delivery of products.

6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations for purchasing medical and non-medical items.

7. Ensure proper storage and organization of medical and non-medical goods in the store.

8. Implement and maintain stock rotation practices, especially for perishable items, to reduce waste.

9. Maintain an up-to-date inventory management system (manual or automated) to track all stock movements.

10. Distribute hospital supplies to relevant departments and wards in accordance with their needs and priorities.

11. Ensure that supplies are delivered on time and in the right quantities, maintaining an efficient supply chain.

12. Monitor stock usage and consumption trends to help minimize wastage and optimize supply usage.

13. Work closely with the finance department to ensure proper budget allocation for the store's requirements.

14. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all stock transactions, including receipts, issuance, and stock adjustments.

15. Prepare regular reports on stock levels, orders, and usage trends for management review.

16. Ensure compliance with hospital procedures for documentation and reporting.
