Job Description:

We are currently seeking experienced and skilled Steel Fixers to join our construction team in Oman. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper installation and placement of steel reinforcements within concrete structures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the durability and integrity of our projects.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine steel reinforcement requirements.

Measure and cut steel bars to the required lengths, considering project specifications and design.

Bend, shape, and position steel bars according to the structural layout, using hand tools, machines, and templates.

Secure steel bars in place using tying wires, clamps, and welding equipment, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.

Collaborate with other construction personnel, such as concrete workers and engineers, to coordinate steel placement and pouring of concrete.

Install pre-fabricated steel mesh and cages when necessary, adhering to design guidelines.

Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all relevant safety regulations and practices.

Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage.

Inspect completed work to ensure proper positioning and alignment of steel bars, making adjustments as needed.

Follow project timelines and deadlines to ensure efficient progress of construction activities.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns related to steel reinforcement.

Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and code of conduct.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or similar role in construction projects.

Familiarity with construction plans, drawings, and steel reinforcement guidelines.

Ability to accurately measure, cut, bend, and position steel bars.
