Overview- A staff nurse is a healthcare professional who works in a hospital to care for patients who are ill or injured. Staff nurses provide direct patient care, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient records.
Responsibilities
Patient care: Treat patients, administer medication, and monitor vital signs
Patient records: Maintain patient records and keep them up to date
Diagnosing and testing: Diagnose and test patients
Medical equipment: Operate medical equipment, such as IVs
Patient evaluation: Evaluate patients and their condition
Wound care: Care for wounds and control infections
