The person would be responsible for

Understanding business requirements from the business analysts or the users and implementing the requirements and ensuring that they meet the business requirements.

Suggesting and implementing enhancements in the systems

Monitoring and Mentoring the team members.

Setting up timelines and project tracking.

Introducing new technologies and better practices in the development team

Interacting with other Senior Developers and management to enhance the systems, team and product for the benefit of the organization.
