Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Monitoring & Support Activities:
• Server, Application and Services health checks
• Email checks: scrutinizing numerous notifications/ various reports on daily basis.
• Follow up with Prime Brokers/Counterparties on learned issues.
• Investigate Sanity test violations (more like investigation of daily regression test results).
• Liaise with Software Development, Compliance, Tax and middle office teams on various assessments.
• Investigating, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve issues.
• Taking ownership of issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
• Notify customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages, and remediation status in stipulated timeframe.
• Document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures.
• Provide timely updates to multiple internal stakeholders and update tickets worked upon.
• Excellent team player and able to work under own initiative.
Operations Work:
• Recon and Investigation of breaks
• Data validation and compilation of various reports on a daily basis.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5+ years of successful application development, integration and support
• Bachelors or Masters Degree OR Equivalent education/experience (Commerce discipline preferred).
• Industry experience, specifically in investment management, with the ability to talk on a peer-to-peer level with fund members is ALWAYS a plus. It is required for some roles and optional for others.
• Highly energetic, pro-active and creative.
• Superior presentation skills, both oral and written.
