SQL Database Administrator to join our IT team The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and performance optimization of our SQL Server database systems The SQL DBA will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability security and efficiency of our database infrastructure supporting critical business applications Responsibilities Database Administration Install configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database instances Administer and manage database objects including tables views indexes and stored procedures Performance Tuning Monitor database performance and identify areas for optimization Implement performance tuning measures to enhance database efficiency Backup and Recovery Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data Conduct regular backups and perform recovery tests to ensure data integrity Security and Compliance Implement and enforce security measures to protect SQL Server databases from unauthorized access Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards Database Upgrades and Patch Management Plan and execute SQL Server upgrades and updates Stay informed about the latest patches and security updates ensuring timely implementation Query Optimization Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries and database interactions Provide support in identifying and resolving performance related issues Documentation Create and maintain documentation for SQL Server configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides Keep documentation up to date with changes upgrades and best practices Collaboration Work closely with other IT teams to integrate SQL Server databases with broader organizational infrastructure Collaborate with application developers to ensure optimal database performance for applications Requirements Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server TSQL and database management principles Familiarity with
