Job Title: Chef with Helper - South Indian Cuisine
Job Description:
Our restaurant is looking for a skilled Chef with Helper to join our team and help us prepare and serve authentic South Indian cuisine. As a Chef with Helper, you will be responsible for creating and preparing recipes, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining a high level of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Plan and create authentic South Indian cuisine dishes, such as dosa, idli, sambar, vada, biryani, and more
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and supervising kitchen staff
Ensure food quality and safety by adhering to food handling and sanitation standards
Monitor and control food costs while maintaining high-quality standards
Train and supervise kitchen staff, including the Helper
Develop new menu items and specials
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in a South Indian restaurant or equivalent
Knowledge of South Indian cuisine, ingredients, and techniques
Ability to create authentic and high-quality dishes
Experience in managing kitchen operations and leading a team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Food handling and sanitation certification
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
