Sous Chef (Bengali Cuisine)

We are looking to hire an experienced , dynamic chef specialising in Bengali cuisine for boutique restaurant in Reading, UK. This position will report to the Chef De Cuisine.. Sponsorship available. Candidate should be able to clear the English language test requirements for UK Visa ( IELTS).

Key Job responsibilities will include :

1. Preparing, cooking, and presenting specialty Bengali dishes, curries and breads to the appropriate standards.

2. Preparation of Mise en place necessary for the dishes.

3. Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.

4. Preparing dishes from fresh products, seasonal products, and awareness of nutrition Value.

5. Cleaning duties and maintaining food safety records as per legal requirements

6. Maintenance of stock levels, food temperatures and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

Ideal candidate should :

1. Be professionally qualified in Hotel management and or / Catering technology

2. Have at least 10-15 years of experience working as a chef working at a minimum of CDP level

3. Experience of working with reputed Hospitality brands and International exposure if a plus.

4. Should be fluent in Bengali , Hindi and English.

5. Preferably hold a driver's license.

5. Be flexible and ready to ensure long term commitment.
