The actual responsibilities of this role are
a. Installations of products at the host cloud server, configure end user specific configurations (this does not have the Physical presence limitation, Can be done from offshore)
b. Tweaking the configuration and environment during feasibility testing
c. Troubleshooting any issue, Modifications of Client configurations, Monitoring the system during warranty support of 2 months (This will include troubleshooting server logs, Application Logs, interaction with External vendors while troubleshooting).
d. The engineer should be analysing the release notes how to install the products, do Feasibility testing, and then run install scripts. It is good if they know how to modify scripts.
The skills set required for this role
• Need to have strong communication skills as the person must interact with client’s customers and train them
• Extensive experience in Windows server, Getting to IIS , Microsoft Visual Studio, Know-how of Windows .NET , ,IIS experience, Windows packages, debug windows centralized logs.
• Understanding of DB Design and TSQL query language as related to Enterprise software configuration, installation and debugging
• Must have good MS SQL server experience
• Knows automation scripts and know how to streamline the process in terms of troubleshooting
• API experience is good to have
• Python know how is good to have
• Any windows troubleshooting tool is fine like Kafka etc.
• Little bit of Linux exp is fine
• Knowledge or experience in Financial services or products is good to have.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS and MS SQL
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Good to have:
• VMware and data migration experience
