A fish Cage/farm Site Supervisor is responsible for rearing and breeding of fish for wholesale and retail purposes. Fish Cage/farm Supervisor are allocated with the duties of supervising and managing the operations that go on in a fish Cage/farm. They oversee the day to day running of the fish farm and ensure there are smooth and efficient operations.
• Develop and manage a budget for the cage or pond, including supplies, labor, maintenance and other expenses
• Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions including sales figures, inventory levels and expenses
• Hiring, firing, training, and disciplining cage or pond workers as necessary
• Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel arrangements, and maintaining records of transactions, meetings, and phone calls
• Managing inventory levels of cage or pond supplies and equipment to ensure current is adequate for operations and orders can be filled in a timely manner.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure that all cage or pond operations are conducted in a safe manner.
• Development and implementation of new aquaculture technologies to improve fish yields or sustainability over time.
• Coordinating with physicians to provide medical care to fish in cages or ponds
• Preparing budgets, managing accounts receivable, and overseeing aquaculture operations in accordance with company policies
• They develop and learn practical skills as they adapt to new technologies. Well organizational, communicative and personable and the ability to perform tasks under a stressful environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fish health and nutrition.
