ï‚· You Will Oversee the Day-to-day Running Operations of a Building Construction Project.
you Might Be Responsible for the Whole Site, or Leading a Sub-team Responsible for One
area of the Project. Depending On the Project and Your Role Within It, You May Be Required
to Start Work Before the Project Begins By Recruiting a Team of Tradesmen,
architects, engineers, Surveyors, Health and Safety Officers and other Workers.
ï‚· Before Any Work Starts You May also Need to Supervise and Organise the Building Of
temporary Offices and Facilities (such as Toilets and Catering) for the Construction Site.
 When Work Begins You’ll Be Responsible for the Safety of Your Team, and You Will Also
monitor the Progress of the Project to Make Sure It Will Meet the Deadline – and if That’s
not Going to Be Possible – Solutions Around That.
 You’ll Be Responsible for Communicating with Whoever Has Ordered the Project in the First
place, Reporting Any Problems or Delays, as Well as Keeping Them Up to Date with General
progress. You’ll also Need to Communicate with Those Outside of the Project, such as Town
planners and Regulations Officers.
 Any Accidents that Occur On Site You’ll Need to Take Responsibility For, and Work Out
ways to Prevent Them Happening Again.

ï‚· Liaising with Clients and a Variety of Professionals, such as Surveyors, Engineers And
architects.
ï‚· Enforce all Workplace Policies and Procedures.
ï‚· Coordinate Training and Professional Development Activities for Employees of Site.
ï‚· Conduct Staff Performance Reviews.
ï‚· Maintain and Adhere to Departmental Budget.
