The Site Accountant is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and accounting activities at the project site for 11KV line and substation projects. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The Site Accountant will manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations at the site.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Maintain accurate financial records for the site, including expenses, revenue, and project costs.
Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for the project site.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process invoices and payments to vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure timely collection and recording of payments from clients or project stakeholders.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with the head office.
Budgeting and Cost Control
Assist in preparing project budgets in collaboration with the project team.
Track and report deviations from the approved budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or timelines.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure compliance with all company financial policies, tax regulations, and local statutory requirements.
Maintain proper documentation for audits, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and purchase orders.
Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions for site staff.
Coordination and Reporting
Coordinate with the procurement team to verify and reconcile material receipts and inventory records.
Communicate financial updates and challenges to the project manager and head office.
Support in preparing financial statements and forecasts for management reviews.
