Senior PHP/MYSQL Developer

At least 4 solid years of experience in core development role (front/backend applications).

Solid knowledge in PHP web frameworks (Drupal, WordPress and Laravel)

Solid experience with MYSQL and distributed databases.

Experience in JSON, Python and javascript is beneficial

Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration

Familiarity with relational databases, version control tools, and developing web services.

Understanding of Agile, Lean, or similar development methodology.

Understanding of the formal software development lifecycle

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coding, verifying, testing, documenting, amending and refactoring complex programs/scripts and integration services.

Applying agreed standards and tools, to achieve well-engineered outcomes.

Addressing project issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.

Responsible to identify technical problems and demonstrate problem solving skills with use of proactive approach in order to identify best available solutions, technology frameworks, plugins, etc.

Full knowledge of programming methods and procedures, documentation procedures, program flow charts and operator instructions.

Evaluate and review code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices or operation systems.

Keeps up to date with new trends and libraries as well as updates and changes.

Mentor and lead a team of developers and will keep a track and reviews on existing projects to identify bottlenecks, bugs, performance issues and involve the team to study and learn from existing projects.

Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines.
