Position - Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description:

We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer having expertise in design, calculation and product development using latest tools and techniques. The candidate shall have experience in oil & gas equipment or valve manufacturing company. This position will be responsible for carrying out duties of the engineering department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation and process improvements.

Roles and responsibilities:

3D modeling and drawings of valve and assemblies by using Solid Edge

Apply GD&T and check tolerance stacks on assemblies prior to release the drawings

Complete all engineering assignments related to product development accurately and on time including fluid mechanic & mechanical design calculations, 3D modeling and detailing (of parts and assemblies)

Co-ordinate with internal as well as global counterparts through virtual conference calls or emails

Software skills:

Expertise in Solid Edge/SolidWorks solid modeling, surface modeling and assembly is must

Should be familiar with Mathcad or other software

Expertise in MS Excel, power point will have an added advantage

Other requirements:

Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years’ experience

Minimum 5 years hands on working experience of design calculation, flow and velocity calculation as per ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI, NACE.

Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Excellent analytical skills

Good communication and presentation skills

Good understanding of manufacturing processes

Knowledge of actuator, controller, positioner and accessory for actuation will be added advantage
