Operations:-
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the shop floor activities.
Liaison with cross functional teams for planning and execution of the work.
Regularly update the management on cross functional activities.
Design and development:-
Participate in Design and development activities of new products.
Design and development of Jigs, fixtures and other necessary tooling
Create/Update/modify the drawings as required using CAD tools
Do the necessary engineering calculations, analysis, test procedures etc required for new product development.
Build the prototypes in coordination with suppliers and conduct thorough development testing.
Suppliers/Inventory/store room:-
Efficient inventory management in such a way that, smooth flow of parts is always maintained.
Coordination with vendors and purchase team
Address all the technical queries raised by vendors
Implement effective inventory/store room protocols
Quality control:-
Responsible for the quality of each and every component as well as the final product that is dispatched to the customer.
Set up the required quality control protocols and implement them on continual basis.
Skills/Qualifications:-
Master’s/Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Must have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes. Experience of tool room would be added advantage.
Should be well versed with design fundamentals and mechanical engineering. Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic products such as valves, FRLs, actuators etc would be added advantage.
Should be fluent in using CAD tools. Experience of PROE, CREO would be better.
Must be a team player with leadership abilities.
Should be capable of working without supervision.
Must be proactive and effective in communications.
Should be a good facilitator between cross functional teams.
