Expert in designing with Creo in the field of mechanical engineering
Good understanding of GD&T in relation to manufacturing processes
Good understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly methodologies
Experience in using FMEA
Experience in design methodologies and tools like Design Review, Virtual Review, tolerance stack-up etc.
Good understanding of product lifecycle and hands on experience in version control and management
Good to haves:
Some hands-on experience in designs related to Internal Combustion Engine components
Some hands-on experience in designing of castings or sheet metal and tubing for IC engines
Some experience in supporting complex design built consisting of multiple subcomponents and subassemblies
Some experience in investigation of problems and determination of practicable solutions for it
Key Job responsibilities:
The hired candidate will work with a team of other engineers to design components and subsystems of various types of Internal Combustion Engines.
He/she should communicate well with the team, understand the requirements, and develop the design in a clean and efficient manner. The colleagues could be located anywhere, including in the US or Europe, and good written communication skills are important. Active communication with various stakeholders, both within and outside the organisation, is a must.
The candidate will be responsible for doing research on how to implement various requirements and making informed decisions in a timely manner. Strong problem-solving skills as well as time and task management skills are essential to perform well in this position. The candidate is expected to understand and utilise appropriate good design practices and methodologies.
