Position Summary
The person in this role will be responsible for the visual quality of shots for the animated film. They will be responsible for creating seamlessness in and between shots.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Integrating 2D and 3D elements of a shot while balancing the creative and technical side of each component,
Paint fixes, rotoscoping, chroma keying, color and grading continuity, graining/degraining images, production mapping, matte extraction
Stitching plates (live-action footage) together,
Working with blue/green screen effects, creating mattes,
Enhancing lighting effects and creating convincing shadows within a shot
Knowledge of the animation production pipeline
Minimum Position Qualifications
Able to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and different work methodologies,
Extensive experience working with node-based compositing systems,
Should have experience working on After Effects.
Strong understanding of photographic principles and CG compositing techniques,
Proven experience working on high-end projects within a film post-production environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Experience working on stereoscopic projects, either stereoscopic compositing or conversion of monoscope footage to stereo (advantageous but not essential)
