As a Senior Accountant in Oman with 10 years of experience in trading, your job description may include the following responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.

General Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

Tax Compliance: Stay updated on local tax regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, including trends, variances, and performance metrics, and provide insights to support management decision-making. Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of various business initiatives.

Auditing: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and timely resolution of audit findings.

Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to financial reporting, accounting practices, and internal controls. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risks.
