- Act as lead and coordinator for the activities happening during the shift and/or via the SCADA that
involves a team. Dispatches the work to the Operation Shift Technicians according to their
certifications/accreditations and their presence
- Act as main point of contact, for coordination in case of emergency or crisis, both with internal and
external stakeholders.
- Masters the process and understand fully all automation and variables within an operation area.
- Report clearly relevant facts and important information and communicate fluently in English with all
stakeholders
- Ensures compliance to the Quality-Safety-Environment requirements
- Participate in root cause analysis
- Find and suggest improvements related with optimizations of process, assets or HSE
While operating the Scada :
- Monitors the plant operation through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA),
process values, operators reports, trends, etc. and ensures the plant continuous running by:
o Ensuring the realization of the day’s program of work defined by the Operation & Process
Manager and the Maintenance Manager, and keep them informed about its progress;
o Reporting to the Operation & Process Manager and the Maintenance Manager the plant running
status (principal defects, stopped equipment, etc.);
o Ensuring the remote starting and shut-down operation when required;
o Putting in service the stand-by equipment in case of failure;
- While on shift out of the normal working hours, assures the plant’s control and covers staff supervision of
the Operation Shift Technicians.
