Responsibilities: The primary responsibility for this position is to support our existing customers and secondary to acquire new commercial, industrial and institutional projects and accounts by developing relationships with owners, facility manager and management companies. This is a consultative sales position. Project Sales Engineer / Manager sell installation projects for HVAC Systems to technical teams and decision influencers. They develop sales leads, qualify prospects and make sales calls. They perform site surveys, estimate, prepare and propose consultative sales solutions to meet the customers’ needs. Project Sales Manager / Engineer will negotiate, estimate, bid, propose and close contracts at qualified margins. Project Sales Engineer ensures that projects have permits, drawings and have been engineered to meet current codes, utilizing in-house engineering support when needed. Project Sales Engineers / Managers perform complete and quality turnovers with project management, after-sales to support a successful job completion that meets scope, definition and projected gross margins and customer expectations.
Required qualifications:
Degree in mechanical engineering, or a similar technical discipline or minimum 5 years’ experience in the HVAC, refrigeration, or controls experience can be a substitute, or PE.
Experience: Minimum three or more years’ experience in HVAC industry, preferred, with degree, or minimum eight (8) years in industry installing, project managing or designing project HVAC systems. Experience in performing heating and cooling load calculations and experience making equipment and systems selections
