Job Summary:
As an Assistant Sales Manager in a hotel, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in promoting and selling the hotel's products and services to clients and customers. You will assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals and ensure the hotel's profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and targets
Support the Sales Manager in identifying and soliciting new business opportunities to grow revenue
Build and maintain relationships with clients and customers to ensure their satisfaction
Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts and negotiations to potential clients under the supervision of the Sales Manager
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors and customer needs
Assist in monitoring sales performance against established goals and take corrective action when necessary
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
Attend trade shows, industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the hotel
Provide support to the Sales Manager in managing a team of sales executives and provide coaching and mentoring to support their professional development
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including financial reporting and budgeting
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel sales or related field, with a proven track record of achieving goals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of hotel operations and industry trends
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
