JD – CLOSING MANAGER
Closing managers are responsible for overseeing the closing process at financial institutions. They ensure that all transactions are properly executed and that all parties involved are satisfied with the results.
Closing managers may also be responsible for managing a team of employees or contractors. This might include assigning tasks to individual workers, providing guidance on how to complete those tasks, and ensuring that everyone is working towards the same goals.
Closing Managers Responsibilities:
• Preparing financial reports and estimates for clients regarding potential costs and returns of proposed projects
• Meeting with clients to review proposals and discuss budgets and timelines
• Reviewing bids from vendors for services such as advertising, printing, event planning, or catering
• Monitoring project budgets and schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
• Reviewing contracts, bids, and proposals to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
• Communicating with clients regularly during the life of a project to ensure that they are pleased with the progress being made
• Ensuring that all legal requirements are met during the closing process, including obtaining any necessary signatures or certifications from appropriate parties
• Negotiating price adjustments with clients, when necessary, based on changing market conditions
• Preparing closing documents such as purchase contracts, agreements, title policies, and closing statements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field/MBA
• 3-5 years experience in a closing or escrow management role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
• Solid understanding of real estate contracts and closing documents
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability
• High attention to details
