Job description
* Identify & generate new business; candidate should be able to contact potential clients to
establish rapport & arrange meetings generate enquiries and convert the enquiries to business
* Handle Account / Exports & Import shipment / Marketing activity
* Achieves the annual growth targets (revenue, profit, volume) as defined in the sales planner. Must be capable of closing business independently, although management team / corporate support are readily available.
* Good working knowledge of freight forwarding services, including ocean freight (import & export), consolidation, customs brokerage and related value added information services.
* Performs regular visits to qualified prospects and customers, in accordance with Managements directives, to drive the business and grow the company's revenue, market share and profitability.
Required Candidate profile
Graduate or Masters or similar qualifications.
Must have good understanding of sales concepts, methods, and techniques, also have industry knowledge and 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics.
Have a proven record of sales success and in-depth knowledge of logistics products and services is a plus to an applicant
Networking and relationship building skills
Communication, whether it is via email, phone, or face-to-face.
Can work and contribute in a team oriented environment
Responsible for giving quotes to clients, as well as negotiating with shippers and carriers.
