Safety Officers are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing safety at work including compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines. Safety officer is responsible for making sure all the workers at a site are working safely and following all the correct safety procedures. They may have other duties as well, but the primary duty is to keep things safe around the job site. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a essential requirement of this job. Critical thinking and problem solving skills is also required. Physical ability to do the work is also essential. Closely monitor performance of all critical life safety equipment. Also required leadership skills for this job. -Needed Diploma in Fire and Safety.

Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring and maintaining fire safety for a company or facility where work is going on with a solid knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations; they implement preventative measures, maintain buildings safety standards, create and implement safety policies too.
