Retail Store Manager (3-7 Years)

Job Description

Overall Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth functioning & efficiency.

Sales Management: Setting sales targets, monitoring sales performance, & implementing strategies to achieve or exceed targets.

Customer Service: Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained, handling customer complaints or issues promptly & effectively.

Staff Management: Recruiting, training, & supervising staff, including setting schedules, managing payroll, & conducting performance evaluations.

Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, ordering stock, & ensuring proper stock rotation to minimize losses due to expired or obsolete items.

Visual Merchandising: Ensuring that displays & store layouts are visually appealing & optimized to drive sales.

Budgeting & Financial Management: Developing & managing budgets, controlling expenses, & maximizing profitability.

Marketing & Promotions: Planning & implementing marketing campaigns, promotions, & events to attract customers & increase sales.

Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, & company policies, including health & safety standards.

Vendor Relations: Managing relationships with suppliers & vendors, negotiating contracts, & ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Performance Analysis: Analysing sales data, trends, & metrics to identify areas for improvement & develop strategies to enhance performance.

Store Security: Implementing security measures to prevent theft & ensure the safety of customers & staff.

Community Engagement: Building relationships with the local community through participation in events & fostering a positive image for the store.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements & implementing changes to enhance efficiency & customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving & Decision Making: Addressing any issues or challenges that arise @ the store, making decisions promptly & effectively to resolve them.
