Job Description

Job Summary: As a Receptionist at Bakery], you will be the first point of contact for customers. You will be responsible for greeting customers, managing phone calls, processing orders, and ensuring smooth operations of the front desk. Your role will involve providing excellent customer service while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet and welcome customers as they enter the bakery with a friendly and professional demeanor.

Assist customers with their inquiries, take special orders, and recommend products.

Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Order Management:

Take customer orders in person or over the phone, accurately recording all details.

Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and issue receipts.

Assist with delivery orders, ensuring timely preparation and dispatch.

Communication:

Answer phone calls, direct them to appropriate staff, and take messages as necessary.

Maintain clear communication with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.

Front Desk Operations:

Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Ensure that bakery displays and counter areas are neat and fully stocked.

Manage appointment scheduling for custom orders, events, or special requests.

Administrative Tasks:

Help with bookkeeping tasks, such as tracking sales, updating inventory, and handling daily reports.

Assist with basic administrative duties such as scheduling, managing emails, and filing.

Health and Safety:

Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of public areas.
