Summary

The Train Ticketing Agent is responsible for assisting customers with booking train tickets, providing information on schedules and fares, and ensuring a smooth ticketing experience.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in booking train tickets for their desired destinations.

Access and utilize various train ticketing systems to process bookings efficiently.

Provide accurate information on train schedules, routes, fares, and availability of seats/berths.

Explain different ticketing options (., reserved seating, waiting list) and advise customers based on their needs.

Process various modes of payment (., cash, credit card) for ticket purchases.

Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding train ticketing in a polite and professional manner.

Issue tickets and ensure all booking details are accurate and complete.

Maintain accurate records of train ticket transactions.

Stay updated on train schedules, fare changes, and ticketing policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in ticketing systems.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of train travel and ticketing procedures (preferred).
