RADIOGRAPHER & PET SCAN TECHNICIAN FOR MALDIVES
Demonstrates complete understanding of PET technology; possesses in-depth knowledge of imaging techniques, computer processing, and radio pharmacy. Assures proper labelling of images including anatomy and correct patient information.
Acquire and analyze daily quality control to assure quality operation of PET and CT equipment. Perform weekly shutdown and quarterly SUV validation calibration as required.
Accurately prepares, dispenses and administers all radiopharmaceuticals, IV/oral/rectal contrast, and medications necessary for PET/CT imaging.
Consistently demonstrates the ability and knowledge to follow departmental protocols in order to produce high quality exams.
Follows established procedures for verification of physician order, utilizes double identifiers for patient ID, and assures appropriate history is obtained for exam type.
Maintains daily records as required by regulations and licensure.
Effectively communicates with patients in order to explain the exam, answer questions and address any concerns.
Demonstrates knowledge of radiation safety and infection control policies as well as safety precautions and consistently adheres to established procedures.
Demonstrates ability to problem solve and communicate well in order to provide excellent care and service to patients, providers, and other staff members.
Demonstrates understanding of multi-slice CT applications and accurately provides diagnostic images and related functions.
Demonstrates working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy in order to optimize scan parameters.
